How do I get my Audiomedia III card to work with ACID 4.0? The Digidesign site says it has been tested and works but I can't get it to go. Any suggestions? I have the newest ASIO beta driver installed. Please help! Thanks, Fred X |

Did you go to Options>Preferences on the menu bar and then the Audio tab? You need to select your audio interface's ASIO driver specifically under there. HTH, Iacobus |

Thanks for the reply. I have looked where you suggested and the only thing that shows up under that Tab is Microsoft Sound Mapper and Windows Classic Wave Driver. Should I see ASIO in there? I have installed the Digi ASIO 5.3.3b2 beta driver that came out on Feb 14, 2003. Could my SB Live 5.1 card be conflicting with the AMIII card somewhow? I disabled the SBL5.1 card and that didn't help either. I have also had my AMIII card upgraded to the QC version. I am running Windows XP Home. Sorry to sound like a total newbie, but I've been doing this for a few years now and just recently built myself a PC box and wanted to try the card out on that platform. I saw the beta driver that Digi just put out and figured I'd see how ACID works works with it. Your help is much appreciated. Any other suggestions? Fred X |

Im running Acid 4.0b with the (PTLE Toolbox 5.3.1) AMIII card with no problems with the digi beta ASIO drivers on XP Pro SP1. Ron Jones |

You should see an ASIO driver along with "Windows Classic" and Sound Mapper. Try the betas as Ron suggested and let us know if that helps. (Be sure to follow instructions for installation promptly.) HTH, Iacobus |

I'm running it on the Digi 888 I/O and it's sad to say but Acid 4 runs better on Digi audio hardware than my MOTU's. The draw back is Digi will not let you have Wave drivers and ASIO installed at the same time. Acid 4.0b Digi ASIOb2 P4 1.7 XP Pro SP1 George Ware |

i'm still trying not to blow my cash on a UAD card. i just found an audiomedia III for real cheap. have any of you guys had any luck running protools on XP while running acid pro with a different soundcard on the SAME machine? what i want to do is send the signal from an acid bus via digital out on my terratec card into the input on AM III and use the some of the cool digi plugins in realtime. at least till rewire arrives on both apps. |
