I have SF6. So far I could successfully mix drums, guitars on it. The minute I add the vocals over the existing mix ... the vocals seem to run ahead in time and the music stays behind. I did not have that problem while I mixed drums and guitar parts... Do I need to record my vocal file in some different bitrate? I tried mixing the vocal at various points in the mix but somehow its not fitting in at all!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

You are really doing something difficult here. You should be using the correct tool for the job. Which would be Vegas or Acid in the SF range. It sound like either the clock in your soundcard is drifting, or you a 'snapping' to a ruler criteria (frames ?) in Soundforge. Is the offset constant (snapping) or is it gradual (clock). geoff |

Sound Forge 6.0 comes with Vegas Video LE, which is a multi-track and much better suited for that task. Did you try that? M |
