I'm new at all this Acid or is it Sonic programs....i want to create music for my videos. Looped pieces from EVERY type of music would be great. What program do I need to research to do this?

Acid!
Download the free Acid Express from the downloads section of this site.
Then go to www.acidplanet.com and download the "8-Pack" from there. It's located in the upper right side of the site. An 8-pack is a short project with 8 loops included.
This should be enough to give you a feel for Acid. Careful, just like the drug...it's addictive!

Ditto what MyST said.

ACID Pro 4.0 and ACID Music 3.0 will also allow you to use/add a single video track so you can score to it as well.
