Hi All, I have got a recording of some sound thats rather poor. It was recorded on a Handycam. 1. It is too quiet in some places 2. It sounds tinny and echoy I would like to fix this. Would Normalize fix the recording level? I assume the parametric Eq will fix No 2, but what settings? Any other advice gratefuly received :-) Thanks, - Al |

I would EQ then normalize as the final step. Compressing and/or limiting would even out the levels, but it's also going to make the room reflections(echo)louder. You will have to experment for optimum settings, There is no magic pre-set for fixing poorly recorded sound. aka, polishing a turd. |
