Crashing problems with Sound Forge 6 -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Crashing problems with Sound Forge 6 Posted by: DJ_Aztek Date:3/1/2003 12:23:35 PM No iea why this keep s on happening. everytime i try and record audio with SF6 it crashes. I'm running XP service pack 1. The screen freezes and then comes back in safe mode, which then distorts the audio. i get a dialogue box that says 'windows has recovered from a device failure. please restart windows'. I have been using this machine to capture and edit video, so i'm not sure why this keeps on occuring. I am not using any other software whils t opperating SF. I have gone into event viewer and there is nothing on why the computer crashed. All i get is this event on the system: Error code 000000ea, parameter1 fe325980, parameter2 feba2750, parameter3 fed79638, parameter4 00000001. Does anyone have any ideas how i can solve this annoying problem?

Sounds like your current input device is telling Sound Forge it supports something it can't, then barfs. If that's not the case, please provide some hardware details. J.
