Newbie here. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a good card to put in my pc. I am running XP Pro. Appreciate any advice!!

Seriously...you should give lots more details.
I have the Echo Mia, but depending on what you need, it might not be enough for you.

Try the Vegas forum !

As with most Windows apps, there *should* not be compatibility problems. If it works with anything, it should work with Vegas.

However, that being said, there are some issues with device driver implementation that can have an effect on performance, ie due to the way Windows works with drivers, if VV3 asked for a 24 bit signal with a MOTU i/f, due to the *type* of format requested *first*, Windows would automatically (and invisibly) drop it down to 16 bits because the driver didn't support that format.

That is evidently being addressed, and is not a factor with the ASIO drivers usable in V4.

Not sure how SForge deals with that...
