Hello, I want to import an MPEG2 into SF5 so I can just to do some sync work for a feature length DVD. I will not be exporting the video, I'm just using it for reference and don't want to to go through the process of transcoding to AVI. Do I need the Main Concept Plug-in? If so, is it available for download purchase? I can't seem to find where to buy it... Thanks, Mike |

Sound Forge 5 can only read (import) video as an AVI file. However, it can render (export) to a variety of other formats that support video (AVI, MOV, WMV, RealMedia, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2). You'll need to upgrade to Sound Forge 6 in order to read MPEG files. The MainConcept MPEG plug-in is a separate purchase, you'll be prompted to purchase it when you attempt to read or render an MPEG file. |
