Subject:faster resampling in soundforge 6?

first off, I understand the different levels of quality speed, and wish to resample only at the highest quality.

SF6 is a lot faster than sf5 due to the non-destructive editing, but resampling is still slow. Ideally, I would like to resample instananeously, and then have htis applied to the end as a render.

Is there a way to do this? or alternatively, is there a better way to setup file location/temp file location to speed it up?

NO. the resampling process is pretty much the same as in SF5 (may be slightly optimised). It is not rationally possible to resample instantly, and for the actual resampling to happen later.

A bit of a different situtation to 'previewing effects' ....

geoff

PS You can, thanks to SF's multithreading, do something else while resampling, but both things will end up slow due to finite cpu resources.
