Now I have to crank up the volume on the CD player to hear. Im sure this is old news for most of you, But would someone enlighten me. Do I use wave hammer, volume boost, natralizer or combo of all? help.............. |

You say you had good recording levels. If so, you shouldn't need to increase the volume at all. What are your typical peak levels in this recording? If you're getting your peaks up over -3dB then you're probably already as loud as you're going to get. If you have a very wide dynamic range in your recording then you may want to do some compression and normalization. However, if it sounds good to you while playing it from SoundForge's timeline, it should sound the same when playing the CD. SoundForge doesn't alter the level at all when burning to CD. |

1. Select ALL Data 2. PROCESS>NORMALIZE 3. Preset "Maximum Peak Level" 4. Click OK 5. Burn to CD If you find this is still not loud enough for your tastes you will need to try some mastering techniques like Wave Hammer, Multi-band Compression, RMS Normalization, then again do the above process. red |
