Subject:saving files in SF 6.0b

Whenever I try to save a newly recorded wave file in 6.0b, no matter what information I enter it (file name, etc.) it saves the file with the file name SP0000. This would only be a minor annoyance, however, if not for the fact that if i forget to rename a file I've just saved, the next file saved will overwrite the previous SP0000.wav without prompting. Also, if I have copied a wav file from a CD and work on it, it will not save. It will prompt me to save it as its existing file name, but then will attempt to save it as SP0000.wav----and fail. That file will not be saved at all, under any name, unless I change it to, say, an .mp3. In which case I have no problems whatsoever. Does anybody have any advice for how to get around this? Oh, and if I change the name of the file from, say, "george.wav" to "george1.wav," it will save THAT as "SP0000.wav." |

Save as Microsoft wave instead of Scott Studio. MJ |
