To whom it may concern: Is there a way to use this software to record a streaming audio presentation? Thanks, - Alex - |

My Audiophile 2496 soundcard lets me choose "monitor mixer" as my type of recording input in Sound Forge. (Basically, anything that plays back on my system is sent directly to this recording input.) Does your soundcard have something similar? Iacobus |

Different sound cards notate it different. Sound blaster calls it "Record what you hear", Yamaha just says "Stereo Out" others say "Monitor". In any case: Double click the yellow speaker icon, make sure the volume control is up at least half-way or more. Select Options/Properties/Recording Be sure the Stereo Out (or whatever) is check marked under Show the following volume controls. Click OK. Select and adjust the sound card fore mentioned output level control for optimal record levels whilst viewing the Sound Forge record window meters. |
