I have soundforge 6.0.
I have a recording(speech only)on cassette which runs to fast in parts which makes the speech a bit mickey mouse sounding. Is there any way to level out the speed if I record the sound onto my computer using soundforge?.

Yes. Effects/Pitch/Bend works very well for this. However, it's not particularly easy to use over long recordings. You may want to split the recording into smaller sections to isolate the problem areas and work on them individually. Once you have all the sections corrected you can paste them back together into one long recording again.
