I don't have Sound Forge, but have been playing with the sound features in Vegas Video 3.0 and now V 4.0+DVD. I like the way that effects can be added and adjusted to tailor the sound to be what I want. I was thinking it would be really cool to be able to use the same type of thing for live performance with a guitar, bass, etc.. I envision having a bunch effects and controls that can be selected. I.E. flange, reverb, echo, chorus, distortion, Equalizer, compressor, limiter, etc... And I envision having unlimited presets to save out effect profiles, and that they can be selected and work in real time. Is this possible with Sound Forge? Is this possible with something else? Am I dreaming? Kirk |

No, you can't with SForge, but you can with Vegas 4. Put the desired effects in a track and use the 'input monitor' to hear the effected parts. A nice little stand alone 'live plugin applicator' would be a handy app, if it doesn't already exist... geoff |
