I have a recording that is approximately an hour long. I want to burn it to a CD. I know how to do that. What I need to know is how to insert track marks on my recording so that when the CD is burned and played it does not appear to the CD player as merely one long track, but rather as 8 separate tracks that can be accessed individually without having to listen to the entire CD or jump around using CD player controls. I have Sound Forge Studio 6.0 but I am willing to upgrade to Sound Forge 6.0 if that is necessary in order to achieve this result. Thanks. John Blish |

SoundForge really isn't the right tool for this. You could do this entirely in SoundForge by breaking the recording into separate files, one for each track, then individually burning these files one at a time. However, since this is Track-At-Once burning you'll end up with a two second gap between each track. If you want gapless Disk-At-Once burning you'll have to use something like CD-Architect, Vegas, Easy CD Creator, or Nero. |

Yes, that is kind of what I have found. Thanks for your response and for confirming what I suspected. It just seems like it would be so easy to be able to insert track marks. I kept hoping I was missing something and there really was an easy way to do it. Thanks again. |
