Subject:New and can't convert mp3 to play on CD

I'm tryint to convert a mp3 file to play on my CD player. I've tried opening it, saving it as a wav file, and then burning it, but it will only copy about half of the 30 minute mp3. Is there a way to make it smaller or some other way I should be saving it. I'm brand new to this and need very exact steps. Thanks, Mom

Set markers where you want to split it up, then convert the markers to regions and extract the regions as individual files. Look at the help menu for detailed instructions.
