Is it possible to take two audio tracks and line the second one up to match the original? I'm recording a voice acting demo and my re-cording is 4 seconds off from the original. I need them to line up exactly so that my voices line up with the character's lip synching in the video. Does anyone know any easy way to do this in Acid Pro or Sound Forge? This was the closest I was able to get the sounds by chopping mine up manually, but the only other way I could make it line up perfectly is if I were to squash and stretch a few areas which would probably distort the sound a lot. Thanks in advance. -TorQue[MoD] |

You could try slipping (hold down ALT+clicking and dragging), slip-trimming (hold ALT while dragging an edge of an event) or sliding (CTRL+ALT while dragging). You might want to record in snippets rather than at once. Your recording is 4 seconds off? Is your system keeping up? Be sure to turn off anything unnecessary that could interfere. Turning off monitor meters, for instance, can help some. Consider also defragging your hard drive. You may want to check out the scoring video with ACID tutorial as well. HTH, Iacobus |
