Subject:CD sounds way better out of SF - Is it just me?

I just burned a disc (of acid zip files) directly out of Sound Forge (track by track) with some really minor edits -that is, no eq, compression, etc, -just fades. It seems to sound better (and not just a little) than just compiling my individual tracks(rendered from acid wav files) in nero and burning them all at once. Is this true or is this just wishful thinking? I haven't tried to duplicate from this disc. Will the dupes sound just as good as the original? Has anybody else ever noticed this? |

Directly out of SForge meaning the resultant CD, or playing straight out of the app ? If straight out of the app, you are circumventing write errors, read errors, and either crappy CD-drive DA or potential digital playback dickery in Windows. If comparing CD to CD in external player, then maybe. Is Nero doing any sort of normalisation on the fly ? What write speeds ? Or you could be imagining it ..... geoff |

I was refering to the resultant cd- all of my earlier discs were burned from nero program. what i did this time was use the "burn cd" comand from sound forge & individually burned each track to a disc. |
