Hi. When editing some of my mp3's in Sound Forge and want to change the bpm (tempo) under the Special -> Edit Tempo...-menu I can't. The BPM (120 as default) is shown by some strange symbols. And it only happens with some mp3's. Some work - some doesn't. What can be the problem? I have a P4 3 Ghz, 1024 MB, 250 Gb, SB Audigy. |

I don't know what's causing the strange symbols that you're seeing, but the Edit Tempo tool is merely a monitoring tool to help you gauge a file's tempo. It does not change the ACIDized properties of the file in any way. You'd use the info you glean from the Edit Tempo tool and use it with the Edit ACID Properties tool. HTH, Iacobus |

I know. But I want to write in the BPM in the edit tempo...-tool and then change the bpm with either the Time Stretch or the Pitch shift tool. This can't be done because of the strange symbols! |

Did you try uninstalling and then reinstalling Sound Forge? And could the font being used by Sound Forge be corrupted? Is it just in that tool? HTH, Iacobus |
