Subject:sound doesn't play when i add video :(

ok, i'm relatively new to this, and my problem iiis, i made a sound file, and added a small video file to it, now when i play it in soundforge everything works perfectly, but afterwards when i save it to .avi and try to open it in a media player the sound won't play. when media player loads it looks for a codec, but fails to find one.. any solutions?

Using 24-bit in Sound Forge? Dither it down to 16-bit.

AFAIK, Windows Media Player can't playback 24-bit audio.
