Posted by: CurbsideProphet Date:6/20/2003 12:08:02 AM I'm wondering if anyone's heard of any problems using C-Media sound drivers on Windows XP and problems recording through the line in on the system. I'm using the "on board" audio of my mother board (for now) and trying to record from minidisc to PC. The problem is that it seems to be randomly fading the audio in the middle of the recordings, and I'm yet to find a cause. The only thing I can think of at this point is that it's the sound drivers or hardware somehow doing this for no readily (to me) apparent reason. The source recording is fine, a little quiet, but otherwise fine. Any thoughts on this? When I play the recording and just listen, it sounds fine to me. On my previous system, I had no problem with my old sound card.
