I am Making / Editing some machine gun sound for Medal Of Honor from the Movie Band of brothers. The time line Is Awsome But I need to cut a single shot from a rapid firing machine gun sequence and Just the wave in the time line won't do the trick sorting out where the shot begins and ends..I would like to Slow down the track so I can pick out the begining and the end of the a shot in a burst of machine gun fire

Look for the little box near the bottom right corner of the screen where the sample rate is shown. Double-click on this and enter a new sample rate. For example, if your file is 44,100Hz, entering 22,050 will make it play at half speed. Once your edit points are set, change the sample rate back to the original value.
