Subject:SF 5 on xp pro

i just upgraded my machine with a fresh install of win xp pro. after installing sound forge (downloaded latest version) i try to open it, i get the splash screen, scanning for pluggins, then BOOM! its gone. no program in site. i tried rebooting and reinstalling several times. nothing works. help?!?!?!

A couple of things ... what graphics card are you using? And did you by any chance shut down the terminal services service?

you know what!?!? i probably did. i did a bunch of tweaks that i downloaded of the net. i will have to check that out when i get home. i bet that is why vegas keeps giving me an error box when i load it too.

ok, now i have discovered that when i go to open a file in sound forge, nothing happens. i click on the little folder button thingy, nothing! i go file, open, still nothing. i dont even get a browser box. if i open up an explorer window, i can drag and drop a file into sound forge. this is really screwy!!
