Subject:project key help

it doesnt work for me
this is how i do it...
i open an mp3 in the program
then i shift the key down to a lower tone
but it doesnt work when i play it
its the same key
someone help me
and the song is an instumental

and if anyone knows a program that shifts keys please tell me

Did you open your mp3 as a beatmap? If so, try selecting/unselecting the Preserve Pitch checkbox in track properties. Also, after drawing out the event, if Preserve Pitch is selected, you can raise or lower the pitch of your event by semitones. You can also press K at any time to change the pitch of your entire project.
