Subject:Digidesign 001 & Acid 4.0e

Can anyone confirm that the upgrade fixed the conflict between the Digi Wave Driver & Acid 4.0e? (In the release notes...says it has been fixed) I just upgraded to 4.0e and still get the following error:

"The playback device Digidesign Digi 001: Chan 1-2 does not exist."

I made sure that in Acid preferences the Digi 001 Chan 1-2 was selected; as well as in Sounds & Audio Devices Properties.

Windows XP
P4

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Are you running ASIO or Wavedriver?
We have 2ea 001's and a TDM Mix+ and 4.0e work fine.

I am running Wavedriver. No ASIO because I also use Sound Forge 6.0.

Bump.

Still not functioning. I cannot play Acid 4.0e using my Digidesign Wavedriver. I reinstalled Acid 4.0e...no luck.

I also tried reinstalling the wavedriver. No other programs are runnig in the background when I try to play Acid 4.0e.

I keep on getting error messages (as stated in the beginning of the thread).

We tested against the Mbox and the AudioMedia III.

ACID is showing the drivers, but the drivers refuse to open is what it sounds like. (The specific bug we fixed related to the Digi hardware was that it required a very specific set of calls in a very specific order otherwise it would not stream audio at all.) We did not see the error msg you are seeing in our tests.

This may be a 001 specific error. We do not have that hardware available - and Digi was not willing to provide us hardware for dev/test purposes.

We will look into it as soon as we can aquire a Digi 001 unit for testing.

Sixstring
Have you updated to PTLE 6.1 yet?
With the XP PTLE 6.1 update you can now have both drivers installed.
You can Run Acid 4.0e and Vegas 4.0 on DIGI ASIO and Sound Forge 6.0e and CDA 5.0 on the Digi Wavedriver.
We are doing it now on TDM, 001 and Audio Media III.

SonicPCH, thanks for the reply. I hope you guys work that out with Digi for future coding & testing.

MacMoney, thanks man. I put an order in for 6.1 and will be using ASIO for Acid & Wavedriver for Sound Forge.

SonyPCH :::::: how is it that acid worked fine with the older version but not your new one 4.0f i get the same digi error as sixstring mentioned. Do we have to go back in time to sonicy foundry days before sony got involved and install v4 the OG version??? very unhappy customer only with the upgrade department.
