I have been poking around this forum for a little while and have not seen anyone bring up editing Real Media files? Is there a reason why SF6 or Acid cannot open or edit them? Thanks |

Licensing restrictions .... 'cause Real says "no". What i usually do, since RealMedia files are somewhat cruddy anyway, is to start SoundForge recording while the sound card is set to input from "what you hear" or "mixed audio out", and then play the RealMedia file in RealPlayer, then save the resulting recording in any format i wish. |

Good question -- i dont know -- but guess what i did to manipulate this issue -- I simply told my sound card to record what I am listening to into a wave file. So actually I take the ram file play it and then just save it right away as a wave file. But check this one out --- I also move them to my laptop and play the file into my sound card (high definition cable) and just save it as a wave file. let me know if this works -- |
