Subject:Computer freezes w/Sound Forge 6.0

I went to 24 bit 6.0 after the 16 bit software also froze the computer when recording.
It has been checked out at a pro shop and no problems with hardware or software.
Hard drive is new, new 512 ram, running Windows XP, new 24 bit audigy sound card.
Any help?

Then nothing is wrong with anything according to your pros. It must be user error. Post exactly how you are recording and any external gear and connections.
