I've downloaded the trial of the Noise Reduction Plugin.....apparently I'm supposed to have a serial number that will allow me to try out the plugin for 7 days....Anybody know from whom I am to obtain this serial number....
Thanks for any assistance

Where did you download it? You should be able to use it in demo mode for a limited time without the serial number. Everything will work but you'll see a few nag screens. If you decide you like it, you can then purchase a serial number from SonicFoundry to allow it to continue functioning after the trial period.

I downloaded it from SoFo (this is not a crack question, by the way)
Okay, if I don't need a serial number to demo it, that's fine, but I can't seem to get the plugin installed..clicked on the exe file and it installed in C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry Noise Reduction Plugin\
Where do I go from here....SF is not recognizing the plugin
Thanks-db

You have to have a full version (not Studio etc.) of Sound Forge for DirectX support (NR is a DX plug-in). What version of Sound Forge do you have.

I've got the full version...and I've figured out how to access the plugin....but demo?! I've never heard so many variations of beeps in different pitches! How the heck ya supposed to actually demo this thing when all you can hear are the beeps!

I've never used the DEMO version of the noise reduction, but from your description it sounds a lot like "Noise addition". :-)

BTW: The Sonic Foundry noise reduction is the best noise reduction I've ever used. If you have a need for a lot of noise reduction projects, get it and you won't be disappointed.

Well, from what I can "sorta" hear, you're right....it did an excellent job of removing the hiss from my video soundtrack....sure is pricey for a plugin, but I haven't found anything that will remotely compare, at this point....
