i was experimenting using forge and placing makers on a live audio to later burn as DAO, which i read forge is not able to do but anyways id just burn it with other software that supports DAO? can i burn with another program that supports DAO and will other burning software read the markers??? i placed makers where i want the tracks to be noticed from a car/cd player on my .wav file , but i notcied that i got two other files called (file name) .sfk file and file (name).sfapo file. so i got three files my markered wav that i made with sonic forge and the two other files .sfk and . sfapo. what are the other files for and do i burn all three files on a cd-r and how do i do that if i have to? and where do i place them or do i have to change the sfk and sfapo files, are they needed to read the info for the burn to place the markers? do i also have to add region markers? dont know what they are for if they are different? |

After you place your markers (be sure to place one at the very start and end also), assuming you have the full version of Sound Forge, Click Special > Regions List > Markers to Regions. If you want to name the Regions (tracks) now would be a good time, then Tools > Extract Regions, save them to a folder. Burn them with your burning software (Audio CD, DAO). I've used Easy CD Creator with good results, no gaps and burns the text (titles). Forget about the *.sfk & *.sfapo files, they have nothing to do with what you are trying to achieve. MJ |
