Subject:Batch Converter settings??

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I'm tired of listening to my CD collection as it is now. It's either just Dido, or just Genesis, or just...
So I've converted all my favourite CDs to Mp3 on my PC to give me the option of having various artists on one CD.
Since the volume levels are all different, what plug-in should I use in Batch Converter to give me the most even volume across the board?
I've been thinking of using Normalize, but which setting? -16db for music or -6db very loud?

Thanks in advance.

The RMS normalization probably would be your best bet, to give you even levels, and not molest the audio too much like wavehammer might do. I would go with something inbetween the -16 and -6 setting. -10dB is a good RMS level for most modern music.
