Do I need Sound Forge 6.0 with Noise Reduction? -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Do I need Sound Forge 6.0 with Noise Reduction? Posted by: dholt Date:8/6/2003 5:19:10 PM I have Vegas +DVD and Acid. Both programs do a nice job of sound editing. I purchased Sound Forge 6.0 with Noise Reduction a few weeks ago and haven't really used it yet. Do I really need it or is Vegas +DVD and Acid enough? I think I may have went a little overboard on the software? Does anyone know how Vegas 4.0 and Acid can be complemented by using Sound Forge. I realize that Noise Reduction can help with cleaning up the background sounds I don't want. Thanks

Sound Forge integrates within Vegas and Acid. Once it's installed and you're running Veg/Acid you can right click on an event and do a "open in Sound Forge" and take full advantage of all the features within sound forge. Now most of those features are available within Vegas and Acid, except for the biggie of "reverse audio". The noise reduction is the best plugin. If you ever run into something that needs noise reduction, this plugin can save you.
