Wow! Discdude!
Are you Serious? How do you know this? What's your source for "inside information"?
As it is, V4 caint even get "reviewed" on places like "CNet" as a Video Editing tool, much less as a contendor for creating ".swf" media.....:o)
:::disclaimer:::
I understand that "Cnet" reviews aint free. After I learned this, it reduced the credibility of the site. Fer me anyway.
I like my Canon cameras, but I'm guessing that them and Cnet is purdy tight with each other.
Get in there Sony. Go get 'em.
Hell, If you do that, and keep this "Vegas Video" software thing intact, I'll prolly start buying more of yours.........:o)
(Not that I aint awreddy got one or two)........
< grin >
The Sorenson codec in Flash MX is the best way to do the conversion outside of buying the Sorenson conversion program. I use it all the time. I would suggest rendering the highest quality video you can to import into Flash MX. Stick with .avi files. I recently converted a 197meg .avi file to a 2meg shockwave file for an interactive movie.
Just in case you do not know, this does not work with older versions of Flash.

No inside info. I'm pretty sure I saw it in the product comparison between Screenblast Movie Studio (formerly Video Factory) and Vegas (http://www.sonicfoundry.com/news/sony.asp) but it's not there now. However, I know for a fact that the chart has been changed as it used to refer to the "Sonic Foundry" DV codec and now it says "Sony Pictures Digital" codec.
Anyway, the upcoming Movie Studio release will have SWF export and I can't imagine Vegas won't gain that functionality in a future update or version.
