Does anyone know how to effectively use Vegas with Sound Forge together? It seems these two programs should be able integrate smoothlyand enhance the abilitiies of the other.

From Vegas's (3) Help > Search > Sound Forge;

From the Tools menu, choose Audio, and choose Open in Audio Editor from the submenu to start your sound-editing application and modify the selected audio event.

After you have edited and saved the file, Vegas automatically detects the updated file and asks if you want to update the event in the project.

When you first install Vegas, it searches for Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge. If Sound Forge is detected, Vegas automatically assigns that program as your sound editor. However, if you do not have Sound Forge, you may specify the location of your preferred audio editor on the Audio Tab in the Preferences dialog.

You may also edit a file that has been placed in the Trimmer Window by clicking the Open in Audio Editor button in the Trimmer window.

END

You can also right-click the event in a track.
