How exactly is this done in Sound Forge 6? You can save the region list as an spl, but that is a HEX file, not ascii text, so you need a hex editor to edit it. Because it is editable only as hex, i don't believe that there is a way to write windows scripts in VBScript to edit the exported region lists. Alternately, Sound Forge lets you copy the region list to clipboard and paste it into a text file. However, this feature seems pointless because there seems to be no way to reimport it! Only the save SPL method (special menu) seems re-importable. It would be really nice to be able to export a region list as a TEXT (not HEX) file, so that scripts and other advanced editing tools could be used to edit region list data. Is this possible? Am I missing something? Again, I'm using Sound Forge 6.0b Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I've spent an entire day searching for a way to do this! |

When saving the regions list, have you tried changing the type to Windows Media Script File (*.txt) instead of Playlist File (*.sfl) ? I just tried this, opened up the .txt file in Notepad, made a few changes, then imported it back into SoundForge. It seemed to work fine. |

What version of Sound Forge are you running? I don't even have that option. I can only export as sfl :( Thanks for the help! |
