I have a song that got pushed a little to hard at the final phase by a friend. He used Magneto to zero it out and you can hear that the song sounds a little distored in certain areas not bad, but i notice it. We dont have the session anymore, computer crashed and they are gone but it is 2 tracked to SF 6.0. and the mix is where i want it to be. Is there any plugins that can fix anything like that or is that a mastering studio kind of thing? thanks |

try a drop curve at 47hz and 12000hz with a drop of 24db on either side see if that reduces the harshness of the distortion |

The Sonic Foundry Noise Reduction might help also with it's "restore clipped peaks". Don't expect miracles though, distortion is hard to get rid of once it's in there, but I have some success with the clipped peak restoration to make it less objectionable. |
