I'm using a MOTU 896, and I'm trying to do some analysis of an audio stream produced by another program. I'd like to play the audio from a seperate program, and record the MOTU's output. I can't seem to set the recording device to anything but the motu's inputs, and it seems like there'd be some obvious problems with sending a signal from the outputs directly to an input. Is there a way to have Sound Forge record the audio from the output channels? |

Virtualo Audio Cable 'VAC' (do a google for it) which is a virtual output device to which your 'playing' app is directed. This can then be chosen as as inpout device in SForge. geoff |
