Subject:Screenblast Soundforge Can't save WAV files?

I just bought Screenblast ACID and it came with a copy of Screenblast Sound Forge 1.0. I also have Vegas 4.0, and was trying to use SF to work on a couple sound files. I opened up a WAV file, worked on it, then when I went to save it I couldn't save it as a WAV file. The choinces I had are SFA, RM, MP3, WMA, and WMV. I checked the help file and it say I should be able to save as WAV file.

Anyone know why I can't?
Thanks!

Check your product literature. I believe the free version of Screenblast Sound Forge only allows you to save to the formats you listed. FWIW, the SFA format is an uncompressed format similar to uncompressed .wav.

I've looked at the doc's (readme, help file, and info on the support page listed in the readme) and it doesn't say anything about not saving WAV's. Oh well. Found another use for Vegas. :)

What happens if you select it in Vegas' options as the default audio editor > right-click on a wave event in a Vegas track > Open in "audio editor" > do something to it in Forge > click the Save button?

Does the wave get updated in Vegas as with the regular Forge?

hehehe... Yeah, I just tried that. You CAN use vegas to open the wav file and SF will save it (only if you choose Save, not Save As). I just screwed up my windows start sound. :) Oh well. Loophole found. great idea mjhig!
