Subject:SF7 not able to open certain mp3 files?

I've tried using SF7 to open some mp3 files for editng but when I opened them I get an empty editing screen in sf7.

I know the file works because I can play it in winamp and I can open the files with other audio programs like wavelab.

just to be sure, i reinstall my sf6 and sf6 opened the file with no problem, i seriously hope this problem gets fix in future updates.

the mp3's property is:
------------------------
Size: 4630 bytes
Header found at: 0 bytes
Length: 0 seconds
MPEG 1.0 layer 3
48kbit, 29 frames
44100Hz Mono
CRCs: No
Copyrighted: Yes
Original: Yes

Try turning on the "Ignore FACT chunk" pref.

sonic,

tried that, no go.
I've uploaded the file here, you can download it and see if it's just my copy of SF7.0 that's not working right.

Thanks for making this sample file available. We'll look into it.

BTW, I see the same problem in both SF6 and SF7 (it's OK in SF5). Since MP3 is a shared plug-in, I'm using a more recent version of MP3 than was originally installed with SF6. Something must have gotten changed along the way.
