Greetings, I am currently a user of Cubase SX and I enjoy using it quite a bit. I am interested to know what Sound Forge 7 can do that SX cannot. Also Vegas Video sounds good too as I'm interested in writing music for Film and Video and TV stuff. Is it akin to Steinberg's Wavelab?( I know Wavelab is good for audio but I'm not sure if it can import video.) Will Vegas V produce a high quality product for broadcast? Thanks for your help and advice. Jeff |

Cubase SX is more an "all-in-one" solution, whereas Sound Forge 7.0 concentrates on one thing only (and does it well)—digital audio editing. WaveLab is pretty much Sound Forge's equal in this regard. Each Sony product concentrates on a certain task. ACID Pro, for example, concentrates on creating a loop-based project for use in your projects. It's essentially perfect for creating music beds. Vegas can definitely produce a high-quality product for video—that's its forte. (Why would it be touted as a professional product otherwise?)
