I have a sound effect in a piece I just did that sounds great coming out of my Event PS8's. But when I burn piece to DVD then play on my home theater setup in the living room the speakers vibrate and it doesn't sound good either. I'm assuming I need to bring the base down. I know this is probably a real begginers question but could someone tell me the proper way to fix the prementioned. Sound effect is from Sounddogs.com (wav 48000) Thanks, bret |

Process / EQ / Graphic EQ. If you select 10 Band or 20 Band you'll get a display very similar to the familiar graphic equalizer that so many stereo systems contain. Pull down the knobs on the left side to reduce bass. You can also use the Envelope setting to draw the frequence response curve you want. Click the Preview button and you can hear the changes in real time as you make them. |

If you're not familiar enough with listening to a sound and knowing what eq to apply to it, then I would recommend using the Sound Forge Spectral analysis, to see what frequency the bass is peaking at. Then goto the graphic EQ as chien recommended |
