Hello Sony people, I have licenses for Sound Forge 6, Acid 4 Pro and Vegas+DVD 4 and DVD Architect as well as several ACID loop libraries. I'm working at my home which has two floors and now I have two computers on the house on different floors. I can see that the license terms and conditions says: "4. RESTRICTIONS ON USE. Licensee may physically transfer the SOFTWARE PRODUCT from one computer to another, provided that the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is used on only one computer at any one time." Since I'm working alone it is obvous I can use only one computer at the time. So is it ok for me to install the software, especially Sound Forge on both computers in this case? Thanks for your help and best regards, mile |

Yes, especially if you are the only one using the software. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

Yes, that is what the licence Agreement says. I have Vegas, Acid, CDA and SForge. Various combinations are on my home office machine (editing), studio (everything), and laptop (all except Acid). Only I use the software , and only on one PC at a time. This is a highly rational and sensible 'terms', and I do hope that SonyFoundry retain it ! If only other software houses were equally sensible ... geoff |

Thanks, Maybe a confirmation from Sony support people for those of us in a similar situation would be a nice touch. -mile |

Yes, according to our End User License Agreement, you have the right to run a single purchased copy of our software on more than one machine, as long as these machines are not running simultaneously. For instance, it is completely within your legal right to have the software installed on your laptop and your desktop PCs. Hope this clarifies things for you. |

Wooo?!?!?! My laptop and my desktop?!?!?! Woooo!!! I have been running SF 5.0 on my laptop because I didn't want to be illegal running 6.0 in both places. The laptop is now wondering why I am looking at it and grinning.... RiRo |

That policy is fair and reasoned. Thank you, Sony. |
