Subject:OT: anyone using M-Audio MobilePre with SF?

I have tried it on two machines, and both lock randomly when recording or playing back audio. It seems to lock when just starting or stopping, but again, just random. It takes win98 to a complete shutdown, requiring a running power down to recover.

Just want to know if there is a fix for this... will win 2k fix it, will XP, or what.

Don't use the MobilePre myself here. Have you contacted M-Audio on the matter? It might be their drivers that are causing it.

One of my clients had other problems with the M Moble pre.
Downloading the latest version of Direct X cured it.

Also download the latest driver from M-audio and disable or uninstall any other sound card that are on your system.
