Hello!

I'm trying to do voice recordnings with a microphone but since my soundcard i motherboard integrated the noise in the background in intolerable. It's like a high pitched fuzzy tone. I've used Noise Gate to try to reduce it but it only succeeds with eliminating it in the sequences where my voise isnt sounding, as soon as my voice comes back so dous the noise.

Is there a way to eliminate just the noise sound all over the recording? I'm pretty new to this, and very thankful for help!! :o)

Thanks!

/Magnus

Noise Reduction is GREAT and it will work fine, so long as your VO signal is much hotter than the noise -- if the noise is too loud, it will start to eat away at your voice, causing it to "flange."

If tyou're experiencing a "high" tone, try using the track eq and turning down the frequency. If it's high enough, it could wipe out the "buzz" and do little to nothing to the voice.

Of course, if you're serious about computer-based audio recording, you really need to get away fromt he on-board sound and AT LEAST get a decent SoundBlaster card -- if not a Pro card like M-Audio, MOTU, Event, etc.
