Subject:Choppy Sound After Saving (anyone)

Hey folks...hope someone can help me out. I have opened an .avi file in order to increase the volume as it was very low and you could barly hear it.

I had no problem increasing the sound volume and then subsequntly saving the .avi as a new .avi but when I open the newly created .avi the sound is very choppy...like someone pounding you on the back when you talk....

how can I avoid this
