I'm creating a cd and have been reading the help, but it's not helping. :(
When I adjust the volume, it become too loud. I'm recording a meditation CD with a gong and some speech. I also want to deepen the bass of the gong to make it richer, but none of the effects work. Is there anyone that might be able to help me out on this? Thanks, Susan

What are you exactly doing to adjust volume?

Have you tried any of the EQ's available in Sound Forge? (Look under Process>EQ on the menu bar.)

What I need is a tutor! I try some of the effects, but it doesn't help. I adjusted the volume after recording (it's a gong sound), but it then sounded too loud. I'll try the EQs. I wish the program came with a tutorial. Thanks, Susan

You may want to try recording the gong separatly and adding it in later using the mix process. (Select and copy the Gong, Cursor at insert point, Right-click, select Mix)
... or the multi-trk Vegas-LE that use to come with SF. I don't know if it comes with SF-7 or not.
