Subject:Extra data at end of files when compressing

When saving as a WAV file in some format, like Microsoft ADPCM, Sound Forge finds that there's some extra data at the end of the file. Is there a way to overcome this problem? Microsoft did it with FreeLancer in their music files (WAVs compressed as MP3 format, no extra data at the end of their files). I'm just wondering if Sound Forge can do this as well.
