Opening Vegas Clip in Sound Forge -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Opening Vegas Clip in Sound Forge Posted by: rextilleon Date:11/23/2003 7:55:28 AM I posted this in the Vegas forum but thought maybe you guys had an idea: I am trying to open a sound clip from Vegas into Sound Forge as a copy---Everytime I attempt to do this I get a message that there isn't enough memory to open it--I have 1.5 gig of memory and that makes no sense---Funny thing is that when I open the sound clip by just selecting open in Sound Forge (not as a copy) it does it no problem--Any ideas about this--it's really slowing down my work flow. (By the way, I have Sound Forge 6.0 e--- and Vegas 4.0d.)

Which drive do you have defined as your temporary files and work folder within Vegas and/or Sound Forge? I'm not certain, but I would expect your temporary work folder hard drve is low on space and not large enough to make a duplicate of the file you're working on. Try doing the same thing with a small file and see if open copy works.
