Subject:Increased file sizes while changing sound in video files using Sound Forge

Hi

When I change the sound in mpeg video files using Sound Forge 6.0, such as noise reduction, eq, volume, etc, the file increases in size by usually 25%....is there a way to keep close to the original file size...or another program I should be using?
