I have installed Sound Forge 7.0a on Win XP SP1, but after a few commands (copy, paste, apply effects...) program suddenly crashes. I haven't such problems with previous versions 5 & 6. This happen only with 7.0 and also with 7.0a version. The following message appear: Exception 0xC0000005 (access violation) WRITE:0x3B140000 IP:0x77F51D24 In Module 'ntdll.dll' at Address 0x77F50000 + 0x1D24 Thread: GUI ID=0x898 Stack=0x12F000-0x130000 Any help ? Thanks a lot... |

Sounds more like a Windows problem instead of a SF problem. 1. Scan for viruses 2. Start --> Run --> sfc /scannow (have your XP CD handy) If it asks for or accesses your CD during the check, core system files had been replaced with unstable (non-MS approved) files. Let us know how it works out. |

Reset any tweaks you've made to the memory handling paging file back to their defaults. |

I had a similar situation when I first installed SF7 last week with my MOTU 424 card and my 2408Mk3. Everything would go along fine and then the computer would just completely restart. I have XP SP1 also. I finally opened my computer and moved the network card down to the farthest slot from the CPU and I haven't had a single crash since. I now have the reliability that I have always experienced with SF since the early versions. |
