I can only really think of un/reinstalling ACID and making sure you have the latest version (ACID Pro 4.0f). It might have been caused by updating your media player or something else. Also may be worth checking your sound card drivers and DirectX installation. BFB |

If your sound source for the midi track is inside the computer (vsti softsynth or such) , then simply rendering will work. But I believe if you're using an external sound source (keyboard, sound module) then you have to record that in as a .wav first by running the outputs of the sound source into one of the recording inputs on your soundcard. Then you can just render it along with the rest of your tracks in the project to make your mix. This is how I've done it. Dave |

As doctorfish mentioned, your MIDI track must be routed to a soft synth in order to render to a new track. Otherwise, follow doctorfish's suggestion on recording the output to a specific input. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

But when i render, all my audio tracks is "rendered" but all my midi track dosn't... i try to un-reinstall like Big_Faced_Boy said... nothing! I try to update acid... NOTHING!! So, what should i do? Is there some other programs to render midi into wave eather if i'd rather like to do it with acid!!?? Thanks for helping me!! ;) |

You're welcome! :) Where are the MIDI tracks being routed to? An external MIDI device or to a soft synth (like the default DLS Soft Synth, 3rd party VSTi or ReWire device)? Check the device selection button in the respective MIDI track to see where the MIDI track is being routed. You must have the MIDI track itself routed to a soft synth of some sort if you expect it to get rendered along with the rest of your project. If the MIDI track is routed directly to a hardware MIDI output, it will not be rendered. This is because ACID is just merely passing the MIDI data along, leaving the chore of sythesizing up to whatever receiving MIDI device it's connected to.
