- If i recording a band or large group... - And I want to lay down individual tracks at the same session... - What multi-channel hardware & software do you guys suggest I use with Sound Forge ? - guess I need a multi-channel external unit that connects to my computer via USB or maybe even firewire... with both mic & lin-level inputs... - And, I need the software to control levels, eq, etc and then patch that into the various SoundForge channels. Thanks for any suggestions - Will |

Sound Forge is not designed for multi channel recording. For that you need Vegas. |

Hmmm... never realized that as I have never tried to do multi-track simultaneous recording with SoundForge... But, you are telling me that my Vegas 4.0 will do it... right? If so, same question... what external multi-channel hardware do I use for all the mic & line imputs recording a band requires? (And I assume it will have a USB and/or Firewire input to the computer... right?) Thanks - Will |

How many Inputs/Outputs do you need? I would recommend the Echo Layla. Echo products work very nicely with all the Sony apps and they have very good driver support, even with discontinued products. www.echoaudio.com. |
